You always wanted to know how much body fat or muscle mass you have?
From now on, you can have your body composition analyzed with us.
How does the measurement work and what is measured?
The bioelectrical impedance analysis scale measures different resistances in the body with the help of an electrical impulse (weak current) and can conclude the components of your body. This is because different tissues have different conductivities or impedances (resistances).
Therefore, the scale can provide information about, for example, muscle mass, body water content, body fat and bone mass. Furthermore, the BMI, the basal metabolic rate, the hydration status and the metabolic age are determined. Simplified derivations of the state of health can also be made.
In addition, developments can be observed by repeated measurements (over weeks and months). If you are pursuing a specific (training) goal, you can keep track of your progress, e.g. fat reduction or muscle mass build-up.
For whom is the body analysis suitable?
Basically, the analysis is suitable for everyone. No matter if the analysis is done out of curiosity, visualizes the training progress or serves another interest.
Contraindication: However, people with pacemakers and also pregnant women are advised against a measurement. Therefore, we do not perform a measurement in these cases.
What do I have to consider immediately before an analysis?
- Avoid physical activity, large meals and high amounts of caffeine and alcohol.
- Empty bladder in advance
- Last meal should be at least 2 hours ago
- Take off jewellery made of metallic materials
- Measurements during menstruation are not recommended
- Repeated measurements should be taken under the same conditions if possible (time of day, last food intake, sleep duration, fluid intake...)
Note: The measurement is taken barefoot and with as little clothing as possible!
After a successful measurement, you will receive the determined data visualized. Together with a qualified trainer, the results are discussed and the values interpreted.
